Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840). In A major, this waltz was written in 6/8. The harmonies used are those of the "strong" degrees, that is to say those which allow to build a solid harmonic framework: I, IV and V 7 or A, D, E 7. The advantage of this tonality is that it allows the use of open strings for the basses. Note that these systematically intervene on the second eighth note (or second beat). The melody in thirds is played with the index and middle fingers.
