A Ball-Hector Berlioz (1803-1869) By Estelle Bertrand Here is an arrangement of the very famous theme from the second part of "La Symphonie fantastique" (1830) by Hector Berlioz. Despite its title of "symphony", this large-scale work belongs to a musical genre of narrative essence called "program music". A ball thus evokes a social party, with its rhythm typical of a ballroom dance. Although Berlioz chose a 6/8 time signature, and in order to simplify reading, we offer you an arrangement in 3/4.
